                  The Department have now established Slaughter House at Bungbangla and Mualpui, Aizawl. With the set up of machinery,certified healthy pigs and cattles are slaugtered here by stunning method. And timely inspection is continously conducted by Veterinary Officers specially designated for this purpose. The meat to be sold in most ot the local market are also carefully examined and certified.By taking all hygienic measures the meat are processed and paced carefully with the following forms and rates:

 

1. Ham( A tihrawl hlang):       Rs 260/-per Kg.

2. Bone Meat( A ruh sah):     Rs 220/- per Kg.

3. Sausage( A kawchhung):  Rs 220/- per Kg.

4.Liver (A thin):                    Rs 300/- per Kg.
