MATIONAL PROGRAMME AN BOVINE BREEDING & DAIRY DEVELOPEMENT
The programme laid down by Government of India in 2003 was meant for more production of good quality of milk and better breed of milking cows. Under this programme, better germplasm of cows like Holstein Friesian and Jersey cows are disseminated through Artificial Insemination as well as natural service.
During April – December 2016 Artificial Insemination has been done to 4065 nos. of cows with high success rate.
And during 2016 – 2017 Liquid Nitrogen Plant has been newly installed at Selesih Veterinary Farm Complex. And Calf Rearing Farm was established at Mampui, Lawngtlai.
