Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF)
1. Construction of Epidemiological Centre at Khatla : With the project cost of Rs. 321.5 lakhs construction is going and expected to be completed by 2017. The epidemiological centre will be equipped with advanced laboratory equipments so as to improve in disease diagnosis, control and contains of the animal deseases in Mizoram.
2. Animal feed plant: With the project cost of Rs 551.08 lakhs Animal Feed Plant is newly installed at Ramrikawn, Tanhril with the capacity of 8 metric tons/hour which is expected to be nearly sufficient for farmers in addition with the production of existing feed plant.
3.Integrated Veterinary & AH Training Institute at Lungpuizawl, Lunglei:With the total project cost of Rs. 213.685.00 lakhs construction has been started in 2016 and expected to be completed in 2017.
4.Rural Animal Slaughter House:For production of clean and healthy meat, new Rural Slaughter House is constructed with an estimate cost of Rs 387.24 lakhs at Brigade Field, Bawngkawn, with possible slaughtering work load of 20 nos. of large animals weekdays and 70 - 80 nos. of animals at weekend.
The proposed sanction under RIDF (Nabard) for 2016-2017 are:
a)Establishment of Goat breeding farm at Thenzawl – Rs. 600 lakhs
b)Rural Animal Health Centre – Rs.200 lakhs
c)Enhancement of Poultry Dev.in INBRO Hatchery Farm,Tanhril-Rs 313.00 lakhs
