(A) GRADE II

1.        Joint Director (Biogas ) : He will assist Director in the following specific  works :

            General administration, supervision and monitoring of the following works.

a)        Dairy Development

b)        Cattle Development

c)         Piggery Development

d)        Poultry Development

e)        Biogas Development

f)         Feed & Fodder Development

g)        Other Livestock Development

h)        Livestock and Poultry products

i)          Departmental Livestock Farms

j)         Feed Mills / Modafer

k)        All works relating to Departmental Vehicles.

2.        Joint Director, (Admn) : He will assist Director in the following specific works :

(1)       General administration  and supervisions  of :-

            (a)       All establishment  matters.

            (b)       All account matters

            (c)       All Veterinary Information, extension and Education

            (d)       All matters related  to Scholarship and Stipend

            (e)       All matters related to construction of Slaughter House

            (f)        All matters related to Right to Information Acts

            (g)       All in-service  training, Farmers training in Technical and service matters.

            (h)       All Departmental Land acquisition, Land Lease and Land disputes          including  land encroachment   

            (i)        All construction of Veterinary Hospitals / Dispensaries/RAHC Centres.

            (j)        All Disease Investigation, Epidemiology.

            (k)       All matters related to RKVY.

            (l)        ATMA.

 

(2)       Inspections of all offices of DVO/Hospitals/Dispensaries/Surveillance/RAH Centres under Aizawl/Kolasib/Champhai/Mamit/Serchhip Districts  at least once in a year.

3.        Joint Director ( Southern Zone, Lunglei) : He will assist Director in the following

(a) Tlabung, Chawngte and A.G.M Mampui.

(b) Supervision of  all activities of establishment of DVO and Sub-Divisional Offices of Tuipang, Chawngte, Tlabung and AGM Mampui and Farms.

(c)  Inspection of above offices & farms at least once in a year.

(d) Compilation of all monthly / quarterly / yearly report including Establishment Return from Sub specific works :

(a) He will acts as administrative head on behalf of the Director for Lunglei District, Lawngtlai District and Saiha District and Sub – Divisional Offices of Tuipang, -ordinate Offices under his jurisdiction and submission to Directorate thereof.

            iv)        Quality Control of Livestock  and Poultry including monitoring of Feed Analytical Laboratories.

3.         Deputy Director(Livestock & Poultry Development):

 

            i)          Nodal Officer in State Government flagship  Programme like NLUP/Buffacos.

            v)         State  Vety  Council.

            vi)        Procurement of office computer sets and its peripherals.

v)         Construction and strengthening of Vety Hospitals/Dispensary/RAH Centres.

10.          Deputy Director (Hospital) :

                i)          Monitoring the function of Vety Hospitals, Dispensaries and RAH Centres.

                ii)         Monthly Progress Reports from District Offices, Farms and Surveillance Officer

                iii)        Compilation of various reports and endorsement of copy to all concerned sections including D.D(LS) for records.

                iv)        Animal Welfare Board.

                v)         Any other specific works allotted by Superior from time to time.

                 vi)       All files on the above mentioned works will route through J.D(A).   

(She will take charge of D.D(V.E) in addition to her normal works above.)

 

 

11. Deputy Director(Administration) :

12. Deputy Director(Accounts):

v)         Issue of L.O.C. under Non Plan in consultation with DD(P).

vi)        Sanction of bills , Government Sanctions.

vii)       Inspection of Accounts of sub-ordinate offices at least once in a year.

13. Principal(School of Vety Science –Cum-General Manager):

i)          Administration and management of School of Vety  Science , Lungpuizawl.

ii)         Supervision and management of all Academic courses of the school.

iii)        Overall  incharge of Instructional Farms like Pig, Cattle, Fodder and  Zovawk Farm at iv)            Lungpuizawl.

v)         All correspondence of the above subject should be submitted to Joint Director, Southern Zone, Lunglei.

vi)        Any other specific works allotted by Superior Officer from time to time.

 

 

14. District A.H.&Vety officers:

i)          Being Head of Office, District A.H. & Vety Officers are responsible for General Administration, Management, Establishment matters within their own jurisdiction.

ii)         Supervision  and  management of Departmental Farms and Institutions  within their jurisdiction except Departmental Farms Institution lie under the control of General Manager, monitoring and inspection works within their jurisdiction at least twice in a year.

iii)        Any other specific works allotted by Superior Officer from time to time.

iv)        All correspondence made by the District  A.H. & Vety Officer which lies within Southern Zone must be submitted through Joint Director, Southern Zone except specific/special matters that may be directed from Directorate.

 

15. General Managers:

i)          Overall  incharge  of  Office and Farms and other Institutions that lies within the area.

ii)         General  Administration , Management including Financial and establishment matters within the Farm area.

iii)        Supervision and monitoring of farm management and practices.

iv)        Inspection of Farms and farm Houses at least thrice in a week.

v)         Any other specific works allotted by Superior Officer from time to time.

vi)        All correspondence will be directed to the  Directorate,  Aizawl.

GRADE-V

Extension Officer ( Directorate):

 

  1. He will assist D.D(V.E) & S.V.O(V.E) in all Departmental Extension Education, Information, Publication work and all Protocol Services falls under Information Wing.

 

  1. Publication of articles in fields of Veterinary Profession or Education of Veterinary Farmers or Trainers in the fields of Veterinary Profession at least 4 times in a year. (This will include article publish in ‘Ranvulh Puitu’, Radio talk, Television Programme in the field of Veterinary Profession or Extension Education).

 

  1. To assist SVO(VH), Aizawl in all specific office works.

 

 

 Veterinary Officer(DIL):

 

1.         Assistant to D.D(D.I) and S.V.O(D.I) in management of D.I laboratory and discharge of duties in Department Disease Investigation Laboratory. He/she will assist D.D(D.I) and S.V.O(D.I) for procurement and distribution of Medicines, Vaccine, Instrument and Appliances to various establishments.

 

2.         Publication of articles in fields of Veterinary Profession or Education of Veterinary Farmers or Trainers in the fields of Veterinary Profession at least 4 times in a year. (This will include article publish in `Ranvulh Puitu’,  Radio talk, Television Programme in the field of Veterinary Profession or Extension Education in the field of Animal Disease, control and management.

 

 

 

Veterinary Officers( Vety  Hospital/Dispensary):

 

      He/She will assist  S.V.O(V.H) in the following works.

 

1.         All Hospital works like Vaccination , attending cases of Surgery, Medicine, Genealogical cases etc. all mobile cases, hospital record keeping and preparation of monthly reports, dispensing of Medicine, Instruments and Appliances at the Hospital. He will act as an extension  educator in the field of Veterinary Profession within Hospital Jurisdiction.

 

2.         He/She will be responsible for Control of Animal Disease Outbreaks in the jurisdiction , Revenue target collection and other additional works assigned to him/her by Superior Officer.

 

3.         Inspection of area falls under the jurisdiction at least once  every quarter, Publication of articles in fields of Veterinary Profession or Education of Veterinary Farmers or Trainers  in the field of Veterinary Profession at least 4 times in a year. (This will include article publish in `Ranvulh Puitu’ Radio talk, Television Programme in the field of Veterinary Profession  or Extension Education).

 

Veterinary Officer (Disease Surveillance):

1.   All Dispensary works like Vaccination, attending cases of Surgery, Medicine, Gynecology etc. Bought in the Dispensary, all mobile cases, Dispensary Record & Animal Entry Record, keeping and preparation of Monthly reports, Dispensing of Medicine, Instrument & Appliances at the Dispensary . He will act as an extension Educator in the field of Veterinary Profession within Dispensary jurisdiction.

 

2.   He/She will be responsible for Control  of Animal Disease Outbreak in the jurisdiction, Revenue target collection and other additional work assigned to him/her by Superior Officer.

Managers:

 

1.   He / She will be responsible for management of  Departmental  Farms. Vaccination, Management of Animals Feeds, Manpower Management etc. He should keep all the Farms records in detail for ready reference.

 

2.   He / She will be responsible for profit/loss of Departmental Farms, Management and product. He will submit a half year  records of Department Farm under him clearly indicating achievement and Revenue collection to Director with intimation to concerned D.V.O/G.M.

 

3.   Publication of articles in fields of Veterinary Profession or Education of Veterinary Farmers or Trainers in the fields of Veterinary Profession at least 4 times in a year. (This will include article publish in `Ranvulh Puitu,’ Radio talk , Television Programme in the field of Veterinary Profession or Extension Education).

 

Veterinary Officer (VE):

 

1.    He will assist  D.D(L&PD) as website information manager, internet and computer management.

2.    He will assist D.D.(L&PD) for Departmental assets like  internet, website and Computer management.

3.    He will act as Nodal Officer in the Inventory Cell assisting D.D.(Admn.).

4.    Publication of articles in fields of Veterinary Profession or Education of Veterinary Farmers or Trainers in the fields of Veterinary Profession at least 4 time in a year.(This will include article publish in `Ranvulh Puitu,’ Radio talk, Television Programme in the field of Veterinary Profession or Extension  Education).

5.    He will act as Website Information Manager.

6.    He will assist DD(E) in the process of Polyclinic Hospital/State Vety. Hospitals/ Dispensaries/RAH Centres/RKVY/RIDF.

7.    To assist J.D(B) in  Biogas Development.

8.    Any other works allotted to him from time to time.

 

Vety Officers  ( Meat Inspection) :

1.   He will assist D.D(E)  in management of manpower, quality control, hygiene measures in production and operation of modern Slaughter House and all protocol services falls under operation of Modern Slaughter House in production of clean and  healthy meat to public.

           

2.   Publication of articles in fields of veterinary profession or education of veterinary farmers or trainers in the fields of veterinary profession at least four times in a year. ( This will include articles published in ‘Ranvulh Puitu’, radio talk, television programme in the field of veterinary profession of extension education).

 

 

Assistant Project Officer:

1.   He will assist D.D(F&FD) in the field of Animal Feed procurement production and distribution, Quality control, management of all works that falls under Modafer Feed mill, Manpower management & management of Departmental Feed Analytical laboratory. He will submit a procurement and issue of Feeds every 6 months to Director with intimation to Physio-chemist.

 

2.   Publication of articles in fields of Veterinary Profession or Education of Veterinary Farmers or Trainers in the fields of veterinary Profession at least 4 times in a year.(This will include article publish in `Ranvulh  Puitu’, Radio talk, Television Programme in the field of Veterinary Profession or Extension Education.
