Subordinate Offices
DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION:
Aizawl District: Under the establishment of District A.H.& Vety.Office, Aizawl, there is 1 Vety.Hospital, 7 Vety. Dispensaries and 31 Rural Animal Health Centres. The establishment is responsible for all the Departmental activities within its area of jurisdiction.
Lunglei District: Under the establishment of District A.H.& Vety.Office, Lunglei there is 1 Vety.Hospital, 4 Vety. Dispensaries, one Surveillance Check Post, and 22 R.A.H. Centres. In addition, the district establishment maintains Cattle Breeding Farm, Piggery Farms, Poultry Farm and Zovawk Farm,Calf Rearing Farm and Fodder Farms. There is one Hatchery Unit which is directly handled by the district establishment. All other Department activities within its area of jurisdiction are taken up by the District AH & Vety Office.
Saiha District: Under the establishment of District A.H.& Vety Office, Saiha there is 1 Vety. Hospital, 3 Vety Dispensaries, 7 R.A.H. Centres and 1 Surveillance Check Post. In addition, one Cattle Breeding Farms is under the direct control of the District Officer. All other departmental activities within the area of jurisdiction are taken up by the District AH & Vety Office.
Kolasib District: Under the establishment of District A.H.& Vety. Office, Kolosib there is 1 Vety Hospital, 3 Vety Dispensaries, one Surveillance check Post, 8 R.A.H. Centres, 1 Piggery Farms, one Cattle Breeding Farm, 1 Poultry Farm. Besides these, all other Department activities within its area of jurisdiction are taken up by the District AH & Vety Office.
Champhai District: Under the establishment of District A.H.& Vety.Office Champhai, there is 1 Vety. Hospital, 5 Vety. Dispensaries, 3 Surveillance Check Post, 13 R.A.H.Centres and one each of Calf Rearing Farm, Poultry Farm. All other Departmental activities within its area of jurisdiction are taken up by the District AH & Vety Office.
Serchhip District: Under the establishment of District AH & Vety. Office Serchhip, there is 1 Vety. Hospital, 3 Vety.Dispensaries, 8 R.A.H.Centres and 1 Poultry Farm, 1 Goat farm and Fodder and Fodder Seed Production Farm at Thenzawl. All other Departmental activities within its area of jurisdiction are taken up by the District AH & Vety Office.
Mamit District: Under the establishment of District A.H.& Vety. Office Mamit, there is 1 Vety. Hospital, 2 Vety. Dispensaries, 1 Surveillance Check Post, and 13 R.A.H. Centres, 1 Pig Breeding Farm(Non functional), and Poultry Farm( Non Functional). All other Departmental activities within its area of jurisdiction are taken up by the District AH & Vety Office.
Lawngtlai District: Under the establishment of District A.H.& Vety Office, Lawngtlai there is 1 Vety. Hospital, 3 Vety Dispensary and 5 R.A.H.Centres. All other Departmental activities within its area of jurisdiction are taken up by the District AH & Vety Office.
SUB DIVISIONAL ADMINISTRATION:
CHAWNGTE SUB-DIVISION: Under the establishment of Sub-Divisional A.H.& Vety Office, Chawngte, there are 2 R.A.H.Centres. All other Departmental activities within its area of jurisdiction are taken up by Sub-Divisional AH & Vety Office.
TLABUNG SUB-DIVISION: Under the establishment of Sub-Divisional A.H.& Vety.Office, Tlabung there are 1 Surveillance Office and 4 R.A.H. Centers. All other Departmental activities within its area of jurisdiction are are taken up by Sub-Divisional AH & Vety Office.
LIVESTOCK FARM COMPLEX:
ANIMAL HUSBANDRY FARM COMPLEX - MAMPUI: The Farm consists of Cattle Breeding Farm, Piggery Farms and Fodder Production Farms.
ANIMAL HUSBANDRY FARM COMPLEX - SELESIH: The A.H.& Vety. Farm Complex, Selesih consist of , Calf Rearing Farm, Regional Pig Breeding Farm, Poultry Farm, Base Pig Breeding Farm, Turkey Breeding Farm. The Farm was initially established for demonstration purpose. The Piggery is now slowly commercialized as desired by the Government, however Cattle Breeding Farm and Poultry Farm are still maintained for demonstration purpose. The Regional Boar Semen Station is one of the important component of the Farm and is the source of Pig Semen supply.
ZORAM POULTRY DEVELOPMENT FARM - TANHRIL: The Zoram Poultry Development Farm was established to supply the best breed of Layer and Broiler chicks to Farmers. The Farm consists of the Broiler Chicks section, Parental Stock section and Hatchery section, Hatchery chicks section. In addition, Liquid Nitrogen Plant was established at this Farm Complex due to convenience of Power Supply in the Farm and has also been entrusted to the Farm.
ANIMAL HUSBANDRY FARM - THENZAWL: The Farm was first established under NEC Scheme, and now has been taken up under the State Fund. The Farm Complex consist of- Piggery Farm, Crossbred Cattle Breeding Farm, Buffalo Farm, Fodder with seed production Farm, Silage and Hay making Project is also included.
SCHOOL OF VETY.SCIENCE, LUNGPHER:
The School of Vety.Science was established at Lungpher, Lunglei to impart Certificate Course on Elementary Education in Veterinary Science and A.H. The School also conducts in- service training programme for the field staff and also farmers training are conducted periodically.
