Course Name   - Elementary course in Animal Husbandry and Veterinary  Science

Location           - Lungpuizawl, (Lunglei District )

Course duration- 2 Years     

1 Selection Candidates:

a).Selection of candidate for Elementry course under these rules shall be done through written examination in Science,English,Mathematics and General knowledge.

b)The standard of question to be answered by the candidates in the written examination shall be equivalent to the courses of Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate of the Mizoram Board of School Education.

2.Eligibility of section:

a)Be a citizen of India.

b)Have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st  of the year of admission and be below 23 years of age on the same date.Relaxation of upper age upon 5 years shall be permissible for scheduled caste,scheduled tribe and other backward class candidates only.

c)Have passed the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination conducted by the Mizoram Board of School Education or equivalent examination in any stream preferable science recognised by the Government of Mizoram.

d)Have obtained not less than fifty percent of the maximum percentage of marks in aggregate in the aforementioned subject,the minimum percentage of marks for schedule caste,schedule tribe and other backward class shall be fourty percent of the maximum marks in aggregate.

3.Application:

a)Application in prescribe form will be obtainable from the examination office of the Director,Animal Husbendry and  Joint Director (SZ) Animal Husbandry and Veterinary on payment of such fees as may be prescribed and duly filled in,should be submitted to the Director and Joint Director (SZ).Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department for which a specified date to be fixed by him,applications received  after the specified date for receipt of the application shall not be accepted.

b)Subject to the provision to clause (c) of rule 4 herein before and sub-rule (3) of these rule,every application form duty filled in shall be accompained with attested copies of the following documents.

c)Certificate and marksheet in the High school leaving Certificated or equivalent examination.

d)Certificate and marksheet in the Higher Secondary School Living Certificated or equivalent examination.

e)Certificate showing the candidates caste,tribe or class in case he is a member of schedule caste schedule tribe or other backword class issue by the Deputy commissioner of the  Administrative District or any other competent authority in the administrative district in which the applicant resides.

f) Two copies of recent passport size photographs, Printed form the same photo-negative, one copy  of which is to be firmly affixed to the application form submitted by the applicant,while the other one copy shall be meant for admission card.

g) Admit card will be issued to the candidate two weeks before commencement of the selection examination and no of candidate should mutilate the admit card or change any entry made  therein after it has been received by him or her.

h)Every candidate shall have to pay Rs.50/- only as application and examination fees to the Director of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department in the manner as may be prescribed,at the time of obtaining the application form.

4).Syllabus etc for the Examination:

a) All eligible candidates shall have  to appear for a written test/Examination in the following papers os class-XII Course and standard of Mizoram Board of School Examination.

b) The question paper for all discipline shall be common and the examination shall be conducted on the same date and the same sitting. The examination shall be for a period of 3 (three) hours.

c) All candidates shall bring their Admit card and shall produce the same before the controller of examination or any other Officers as may be authorised on the day the examination is held.
